Michael has dedicated his career to the performing arts having served as the general manager of Lincoln Center, The Old Globe, Theatre for a New Audience, the Vineyard Theatre, Barrow Street Theatre, as well as an independent producer, arts marketer, and maker. His career spans 25 years and hundreds productions in various capacities. He has also recently partnered with award winning producer Eva Price as the Chief Operating Officer of Maximum Entertainment Productions.

MWPE’s current Broadway, West End and tour credits include this season’s revival of Ragtime (2026 Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics’ Circle Award winner for Best Revival of a Musical; 11 Tony Award nominations, and a Special Citation from New York Drama Critics’ Circle); Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York (Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics’ Circle Award nominations); Marla Mindelle, Constantine Rousouli, and Tye Blue’s Titanique (Tony and Drama League Award nominations); SpitLip’s Operation Mincemeat (2025 Tony Award nomination for Best Musical); the West End revivals of Avenue Q at the Shaftsbury Theatre and The Producers (2026 Olivier Award nomination for Best Musical Revival) at the Garrick; the UK tour of The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Michael is an associate member of The Broadway League, a member of the Broadway Producer’s Alliance, and has served on the Off-Broadway League, Lucille Lortel Award Administration Committee, and the Board of Directors of the League of Resident Theaters (LORT).

He is also the current chair of the MFA program in Performing Arts Management within the theater department at Brooklyn College.

Michael holds an MFA in directing from the School of Theatre at Ohio University, a Master’s degree in Business Management & Leadership from the City University of New York’s School of Professional Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in theatre and English literature from Eastern Michigan University, where he was recently honored with the 2025 Alumni Achievement Award.
